Andy, it worked great on my older Acer Netbook with "7 Starter". http://gsdclb.org/windows-7/updates-won-t-download.php This is particularly common if the update fails to complete, or causes something to stop working. Usually this is simply because that update relies on another one and has tried to install in the wrong order, just try it again after your next restart of the system
