So I went into Linux Mandrake and partitioned part of it's free space on the slave drive of my Gaming machine. When the first time my pc got a super virus i formatted it to windos xp sp2, then i used to install vista ultimate but this 0x80070017 error code always shows I have a vista DVD that doesn't boot anymore (i dunno why and i don't wanna know either) and another one that gives me that 0x80070017 error (but this one boot!). Now run the setup.exe from the virtual disk F ( if u use vista, right click on the setup.exe and click on the run as administrator)That's all. All the buttons are transparent light blue, really elegant looking actually. Use another DVD drive to install Vista   Things you could try doing (if you have the retail DVD of Vista): 1. click on the Mount button to Mount all those files into the virtual disk F3. You should use either a MS boxed version of Vista full install or an OEM system builders Vista full install.
