Since the only change in my PC is ZA, I rationalised a conflict between TrendMicro and ZA. Alternatively, you can update through MBAM's interface from a clean computer, copy the definitions (rules.ref) located in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from that system to a usb stick or ws jdskill . I feel horrible. But I did for a FACT uninstall Norton from his computer that day. This would indicate an ActiveX issue. Check This Out It froze on both machines just as you described in your earlier posts.
