Thanks again. I put my laptop on a sleep mode but it went black out.. I don't know what caused it to do this in the first place. There isn't a battery in my laptop,well I don't think.My screen won't come on,I have to hold the power button to turn on/off.dosent even say the toshiba loading thing.it has one

Toshiba Satellite Laptop Won't Boot Up

It no longer gives me the option to start up normally or in safemode. A BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) flashed and shut down as if someone cut the power on me, and It restarts and takes me to a message that windows did not Won't load, only shows black screen, after Toshiba logo initial load screen. Also connect the USB-drive or external HD.

backing it all up now. Your trick worked great. It usually takes 15-20mins of hard shutdowns/restarts before it actually boots.   • Getting no results usually indicates a bad motherboard.
  • however when I tried using it again later, it would just not start up.
  • Then powered up and it has worked every time.
